Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 3, 2026 · Skills Tech Talk, LLC

This Privacy Policy explains how Skills Tech Talk, LLC ("Skills Tech," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Skills Tech Workspace™ and the connected Skills Tech products (the "Services"). It is a companion to our End User License Agreement.

1. The short version

  • Skills Tech Workspace stores account, team, entitlement, and proof metadata. It does not store your source code.
  • Your Proof Portfolio™ is private by default and is shared only when you choose to publish it. You can revoke, export, or delete it.
  • Team dashboards show system-level coverage, not individual surveillance.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account and identity data: your user identifier, name, email, and profile details, provided through the shared Skills Tech sign-in and identity provider.
  • Entitlement and billing metadata: your plan, subscription status, and entitlements. Payments are processed by Skills Tech Talk, LLC as merchant of record or its payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Workspace data: teams, members, roles, seat assignments, connected repository references (names and metadata, not source code), and SSO configuration.
  • Proof metadata: references to proof artifacts, scores, and badges you or the connected products generate, and their visibility settings.
  • Usage and device data: log data, IP address, device and browser information, and diagnostic or usage events used to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

3. What we do not collect

Skills Tech Workspace does not store your source code. Code is analyzed locally or by the product you direct, and the Workspace reads only metadata and results by your user identity. We do not intentionally collect special-category personal data.

Your source code is never uploaded to Workspace and is never used to train AI models, anywhere in the Skills Tech platform, including any AI features.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
  • authenticate you, resolve entitlements, and manage teams and access;
  • aggregate and display your Proof Portfolio™ and, when you publish, share it as you direct;
  • process billing and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • communicate with you about the Services, and comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed:

  • Across Skills Tech products: to provide a single account, entitlements, and an aggregated Proof Portfolio™, keyed on your user identity.
  • Service providers (subprocessors): hosting, database, identity, payment, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
  • When you publish or share: proof you choose to make unlisted or public is visible to those you share it with.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your proof and your controls

Your Proof Portfolio™ is private by default. You control its visibility per artifact (private, unlisted, or public), you can revoke sharing at any time, and you can export or request deletion of your portfolio and account data.

7. Team and organization data

If you use team features as an employer or organization, you are the controller of your team members' data for those purposes and are responsible for providing any required notice and for lawful use under employment, labor, and privacy laws. Team dashboards are designed to show system-level coverage, not to monitor or rank individuals.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion, subject to obligations that require us to retain certain records.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal data.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us through the channels in Section 15. We will respond as required by applicable law, including the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA where they apply.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Services, and understand usage. Where required, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

13. Children

The Services are not directed to children and are not intended for use by anyone under the age required to form a binding contract in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email. Your continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.

15. Contact
